I was Creative Director of the 2017 Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show. This is an annual event held in Scotland’s capital city, and is known to be the largest student-run fashion show in Europe, with a history of sponsors such as Asos, Tatler, Kurt Geiger and many more. I was flattered to hear that my Instagram account, and previous art exhibitions in London and Edinburgh had caught someones eye enough to trust me with such a weighted role. Our platinum sponsor for ECFS 2017 was Topshop, and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to curate and direct a photoshoot to feature as our headline editorial, featuring all of the newest season Topshop & Topman garments and jewellery. Having worked tremendously hard all year to put the show together, I was made truly aware of the prestige behind it, and am very proud to have been a part of it. My role as Creative Director put me in charge of the ‘vision’ for 2017’s ECFS, meaning everything from the concept, the aesthetic, the production, the sponsorship brandbook, the model casting, the editorial photoshoots, the social media and the magazine.
On March 11th 2017, ECFS raised £24,000 for the Children's Mental Health charity, Place2Be.
The show took place at the National Museum of Scotland, and was sold out with just under 600 people in attendance.
Our sponsors included: Topshop, Topman, Bumble, Propercorn Popcorn, Anonymous, RICH Hair Care, Cawston Press, BlockHead Gum, Perfectil, Sun Valley Nuts, APE Snacks, Frisky Frozen Yoghurt, Patisserie Valerie, Freddy Antabi Hair, RYZE Edinburgh, Woodland Dance Project, FLY Open Air, NOIRouge Hair & Beauty, Stand Comedy Club, Golden Hare Books, Cambridge Satchel Company, Old Town Chambers, White Star Charter Yachts
