SOCIAL MEDIA PORTFOLIO
LIA CHIARIN - PERSONAL INSTAGRAM
Stemming from my background in painting, I have always been a “maker”, meaning that I have an affinity (or a weakness) for constantly feeling the need to create. With this in mind, last year I saw an opportunity to combine my love for design and the arts through social media. I decided to develop my Instagram account (@liachiarin) into an artwork of its own. This ‘blog’ as such, highlights my obsession and desire for all things creative: the arts, design, fashion and trends, which I have combined and displayed in a never-ending, inter-connected mood board that can be scrolled through. Through this, I have been able to improve my Adobe skills to an advanced level, and have also been encouraged to communicate with numerous other creatives and bloggers, which has enriched my understanding of the future of digital media and artistic direction.
EMEL + ARIS (Feb 2016 - April 2017)
Since the development of my personal account, I began connecting with new people who were interested in the collage-style I use in my posts. Through this, I started to receive the odd social commission until eventually freelancing full-time during my time at university; curating everything from Instagram feeds and Facebook banners to press imagery, bespoke Snapchat filters, posters & flyers, etc.
Namely, Emel+Aris (@emel_and_aris), a luxury coat brand that started up in late 2015, employed me in early 2016 as one of the creative coordinators for the brands Instagram. I was given a brief at the beginning of each week, and my roles varied from sourcing external imagery, to coordinating my own photoshoots (available to view on request), and pre-scheduling the feed. The coats have already been featured in British Vogue, Refinery29, Cosmopolitan, GQ, and many more publications. Unfortunately due to my final year of university I had to put this job on pause, but still remain in contact with the company and continue to help with the occasional collage for them.

Part of my job as Creative Director for the Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show 2017 was to design and coordinate the Instagram feed @_ecfs_
Below is a merged image of the Instagram feed I curated between 2016-2017. I have since passed the baton over to next years directors.
THE VIDA CONSULTANCY
My role as Marketing Executive and then Social Media Manager at this award-winning agency included coordinating, scheduling and curating their social media and online marketing. Predominately, this includes the Instagram - @the_vida_consultancy, of which I have been designing since the end of June 2017. We have since re-branded and redesigned this feed, an updated image will be added to this site soon...
